Captive Hearts

If you are someone who values exploring and deepening your spiritual life - here's something to wonder about. By what is my heart held captive? That question came to me this morning reading Psalm 126:4.

"Now set our captive hearts free, YHWH! Make them like streams in the driest desert."

Something I love about spiritual direction is that it's a journey of asking questions. But more than giving us answers, it "holds us and encourages us as we ask all the right questions, questions that cut to the heart of who we are, what we are here for, and what - in our heart of hearts - we are called to be.

That is not a journey for the faint of heart. That's why we don't walk the path alone, but with another, one who respects us and prays for and with us, one for whom our spiritual flourishing is the number one priority," says one wise director.

I'd be happy to talk further with you if you're interested in learning more about spiritual direction. My contact info is at the bottom of the home page.
